Hina Usmani attended the World Congress of Accountants 2018 held in Sydney, Australia.

Our Managing Partner Hina Usmani other Council Members of ICAP participated in the World Congress of Accountants 2018 which was held at the International Convention Centre, Sydney, Australia.

Hina Usmani represents Pakistan at NSS Forum in Sydney at WCOA 2018

During the World Congress of Accountants in Sydney held in November 2018, Hina Usmani, Council Member ICAP represented on behalf of Auditing Standards and Ethics Committee of ICAP in the National Standard Setters (NSS) Forum Meeting on an invitation from the Australian Auditing and Assurance Board. The participants were present from many jurisdictions including Senior representatives of IFAC to enhance collaboration and revisit statement of purpose for National Standard Setters Forum.

LUMS Internship program – 2018

The closing ceremony of LUMS Internship Program 2018 was held at UCO office in Karachi on 3rd August, 2018 The aim of this internship program was to provide high-quality internship experience for BSc Accounting & Finance students in Professional Services.

Hina Usmani elected as first Woman Council Member of ICAP

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) has successfully conducted the elections for the ICAP Council and Regional Committees (Northern and Southern) on July 29, 2017. ICAP is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants (CA) Ordinance, 1961 to regulate the profession of accountancy in Pakistan.

Council is the governing body responsible for managing the affairs of ICAP. Elections of ICAP are held after every four years under the supervision of an Election Committee which is constituted under the provisions of the CA Bye-Laws, 1983 and is independent of the Council of ICAP. Members of ICAP actively participated in the voting process at the recently held Elections including a significant number of voters from abroad who casted their votes through electronic voting.

It is pertinent to mention that for the first time in ICAP’s history two female members have been elected, Hina Usmani elected to the Council and Noureen Al Amin elected to the Southern Regional Committee. The members of the Institute appreciated the efforts of the management for smoothly conducting the election process at all centers.-PR. Read more

Huma Pasha is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Certified Internal Auditor & Certification of Risk Management Assurance from the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA and Certified Internal Control Auditor from the Institute of Internal Controls, USA. Huma has extensive work experience of over 30 years at senior management positions as head of finance and head of internal audit. Huma is a professional trainer and has over 20 years of training experience in conducting professional trainings for IIA-SACA Karachi, PICG and ICAP at their Directors Training Programs.

Noureen Iqbal is an Associate Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and a member of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountant. She has over 4 years experience at senior finance positions in development, manufacturing, finance and public sectors. She is also serving as visiting faculty to MBA Finance students in the University of Balochistan and providing trainings to Government Officers related to Public Finance Management in Pakistan Academy of Audit and Accounts.
